"Unity: Square Louise Michel" is one my my favorite paintings of the last few years (probably my number 2 favorite). It's going to be showing at the Duxbury Art Complex Museum February through April.

Day two! An interesting process on this one. So far in the process, only two pigments -- transparent red oxide and ultramarine blue. No white, just the color of the aluminum ground.
I think the background will be one solid (ish) color. But what color?

This chair is about Mary Mcleod Bethune. It's a collaboration between Jeff Olsen, Carol Krentzman and myself. Currently on display at the Morse Library in Natick MA. The chair is built from improvised materials to reflect her early schoolhouses, and the mosaic on the seat depicts events and focuses of her life.

"The Course of Rivers" is at a show at the Arts Complex Museum in Duxbury MA until April 19th. The opening reception is Feb 2nd, 1-4pm. Come by if you can! On top of a great art show, the catering is always fabulous.
